User Guidance

Duvet covers, sheets and pillows cases

  • Use a non-biological detergent that does not contain optical brighteners, bleaching agents or enzymes.
  • Do not use fabric conditioner. There is no need and it can reduce the breathability and absorbency.
  • Cold or cool wash at a maximum of 30 deg C on a gentle cycle.
  • Close duvet cover zips before washing.
  • If washed at high temperatures shrinkage will occur.
  • With modern detergents there is no need to wash at high temperatures, and cool washing saves energy, and money.
  • Do not soak.
  • Do not use bleach – it is harmful to the environment too.
  • Line dry.
  • Can be tumble dried or ironed but only on a cool setting.
  • If excessive heat during washing or tumble drying is used excessive ‘pilling’ may occur.
  • Bamboo, being a 100% natural product, is extremely absorbent and wicks away up to 40% more moisture than cotton does from the skin, therefore it will absorb any face creams or hair products etc. which may result in temporary discolouration which should go when washed.
  • Washing at a higher temperature, with the help of a stain remover is recommended in this case.

Product Disposal Donate / Repair, Home Compostable, Textile Bank

All products are 100% bamboo except for zips and elastic, and once these have been removed the fabric can therefore be composted at the end of their useful life.  Zips may be reusable or could be donated to repair and alteration businesses.  Elastic usually needs to be disposed of with general waste.

Paragon Bamboo

Paragon Bamboo is a young and innovative company but with decades of experience behind it.

The company was created and launched in 2018 to design and manufacture innovative, premium quality products from an organic, sustainable and renewable natural resource – products which, at the end of their useful life, can be composted, therefore our products are working to reduce landfill.

An exhausting testing criteria on fabrics from across the globe resulted in a comprehensive range which currently includes 100% bamboo bed linen, duvets, mattress protectors and bamboo pillows with a hollow fibre centre.

But our thirst for organic and recyclable innovation has not stopped, we continue to test and explore new concepts which will result in the range of bamboo products continuing to grow.

We aim to meet the growing demand for recyclable and compostable fabrics. All of the bamboo we use in our fabrics is organically grown without the need for additional water and without the use of pesticides and fertilisers.

All of the bamboo fabric used in making our products meets the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 product class, making our products suitable for infants as well as adults.

Environmental Policy

All of our products are 100% bamboo except for zips and elastic, and once these have been removed the fabric can therefore be composted at the end of their useful life.

We send all bamboo items out in a reusable and compostable 100% bamboo bag, and to protect your new items they are sent in a recyclable courier bag or a cardboard box which can be reused or recycled with your kerbside collection or at your nearest recycling station.

At our office and warehouse we recycle or reuse as much packaging as possible therefore minimising our landfill waste.
